Beliggenheten er akkurat langt nok unna det verste maset i sentrum, men samtidig bare en kort biltur unna Hemsedal skisenter. Kort vei til flere kjente toppturer, sommer som vinter.
Gravset Skiarena med Gravsetstugu og servering kun 500 meter unna, perfekt møtested etter skituren.
Hytta er svært gjennomført med praktiske løsninger for en aktiv familieferie sommer og vinter.
